The IUI treatment mainly involves deposition of a concentrated amount of sperm from a woman’s partner or even a donor directly into the uterus, using a catheter that passes through the cervix.

IVF Treatment (In vitro fertilization)

In IVF the eggs are removed from a woman’s ovaries and then they are combined in a with sperm from your partner or a donor in a laboratory. After the successful fertilization, the resulting embryo or embryos are transferred to the woman’s uterus.

ICSI Treatment (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection)

This is an addition to an IVF treatment to overcome fertility problems in a male. It also helps in the process of fertilization along when it becomes a challenge. During this treatment a single sperm is injected into a single egg and the resulting embryo is transferred to the uterus.

Donor eggs and embryos

While using IVF techniques, an egg donated by some other woman is mixed with the woman’s  partner’s sperm and then they are transferred to the uterus. If you use a donor embryo, you have to take medications for the preparation of the uterine lining for pregnancy before the embryo or embryos are transferred to the uterus.
